Behind the Pantry Doors

Hey friends, and welcome to the very first Ellie’s Pantry blog post! I’m so glad you’re here.

A Little About Me

My name is Sydney Crawford, and I’m from Boonville. I graduated high school in 2022 and met my husband, Adam, in 2021 through mutual friends. We hit it off pretty quickly, and not long after graduating, I moved to Carrollton with him. He proposed in 2023 and we got married a year later. We have been happily married for a year now.

My plans are to go to college and eventually become an RN, focusing on Labor & Delivery. Right now, I’m working as a CNA and being the sole owner of Ellie's Pantry.

How Ellie’s Pantry Started

Ellie’s Pantry has been around since August 2025, though we didn’t open for purchases until October. Before that, we shared behind-the-scenes sneak peeks of what was coming on Facebook. I started this little journey to bring better-quality pet snacks and baked goods to the community.

Honestly, I was inspired by the farmstand TikTok trend—but it has grown into so much more than that. I’ve met some amazing people at markets, and I can’t wait to meet even more of you! We plan to do more markets in the future too.

Bringing Fun Ideas to Life

One of my favorite things is turning fun ideas into reality and connecting people. That’s where the DIY Christmas Cookie Box came from. My siblings and I used to grab kits at Walmart to decorate cookies, or we’d spend hours baking together. Those memories really inspired the pantry.

At Ellie’s Pantry, you can buy those cookies, along with breads, sourdough creations from my starter Dolene, and dog treats for your furry friends. Ellie, our golden retriever, has even inspired some of the homemade dog treats. She’s been with us since she was six months old and has been through our engagement, wedding, and moving adventures. She’s always nearby when I bake—after all, she gets one dog-friendly treat from each batch!

Behind the Scenes

Opening the pantry has been a huge learning experience—figuring out what people enjoy, how much to make, and even when to open. Thursday nights are usually busy as I make sure everything is fresh for Friday, but it’s all been worth it. I’ll never forget a girl who drove past just to tell me how cute the pantry was and how good the cookies smelled—it made my day.

The Website & Community

I wanted to open the website to bring the community together a little more and let you get to know Ellie’s Pantry—and me—a bit better. On the site, you can check out our story, peek at behind-the-scenes moments, and see menus—from order-ahead and daily offerings to seasonal favorites (my personal favorite!).

The website will also host giveaways, like the Christmas one happening now, and keep you updated on pantry hours and news.

Thank You

Most of all, I just want to thank you for being here and for all the support from the very beginning. Now, go explore the website and make yourself at home!
